Alex

from Pennsylvania

Alex is a friendly young man who enjoys stimulating conversations about his interests. He particularly enjoys documentaries and novels. Like most kids his age, he enjoys playing video games and loves to build in his favorite game. He loves to build things, take them apart, and use his imagination when building with LEGO bricks. Alex describes himself as non-confrontational and does not like it when people are mean or yell loudly. He is proud of his self-control and stated he would rather walk away from an argument than engage in something negative or toxic. He identifies with the Christian religion and would like to start attending religious services. He is also an animal lover and would be thrilled to have a dog or a cat in the home to keep him company. He's interested in learning how to cook and bake and would love to accompany you to a Chinese restaurant. He's also interested in learning new languages like Spanish and Japanese. Alex is hopeful of finding a loving, supportive family that will accept him for who he is. When asked what he is looking for in a resource family, he stated, "I just want a family who will love me for me, and that will stay by my side, no matter what." He has daily telephone contact with his birth father, who is very loving and supportive of him. It is crucial for Alex to maintain his connection with his father; therefore, any family that will be considered must be supportive of birth family contact. Alex would like a family who will include him in everything, including attending religious services. Parental rights have not been terminated for Alex. For more information, a family can call the SWAN Helpline at 1-800-585-SWAN or have the family worker contact the recruiter, Sarah West, via telephone or email swest@justiceworksyouthcare.com.
