Meet Diamond: A Future Advocate! Diamond is a vibrant and ambitious young lady. She is passionate about doing her hair, lashes, and makeup. Diamond enjoys music, and loves spending time with her friends. She is incredibly creative and is an excellent writer. She enjoys writing poetry, journaling, and writing about her life experiences. Diamond is loyal, caring, and thoughtful. She prides herself on being a good sister, standing up for those in need, and advocating for her own rights. She is not afraid to speak up when she sees injustice, and she genuinely wants to make the world a better place. Diamond's aspirations are inspiring; she aims to publish a book about her experiences in the foster care system and become an attorney to advocate for children in similar situations. She dreams of one day having her own family. While she prefers to be an only child, she is open to having siblings if the match is right and would thrive in a trauma-informed family environment that can offer dedicated attention and care. Parental rights have not been terminated for Diamond; however, once a permanent resource is identified, the county will enact final steps to terminate parental rights. For more information, a family can call the SWAN Helpline at 1-800-585-SWAN or have the family worker contact the recruiter, Courtney Leonard, via telephone or email cleonard@families4kids.org.
