Jamie

from Pennsylvania

Jamie is a resilient and thoughtful teenager who would benefit from a family that can offer encouragement, acceptance, and understanding. Although appearing reserved at first, Jamie continues to step outside of their comfort zone and embrace new experiences. Jamie has a growing interest in staying active and engaged in the community, enjoying outings such as visiting museums, parks, shopping, skating, trying new restaurants, and going to the movies. Jamie is especially excited about an upcoming milestone--their very first trip to the beach this summer, an experience they have been eagerly anticipating. Academically, Jamie has demonstrated remarkable determination and growth. Jamie has worked very hard to improve their grades, and this dedication was recognized when they received an award from their Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) instructor at the end-of-year dance. Jamie took pride in attending the event, where they showed a willingness to try new things by participating in a line dance for the first time. Jamie has a gentle and nurturing nature, particularly when it comes to animals. Jamie enjoys spending time with the cats in their current home and dreams of becoming a veterinarian. In a family setting, Jamie would do well as the only child or the youngest, for no other reason than that they prefer the company of older people. However, if a family is found with younger children, that is a great fit, the team will absolutely consider them. With perseverance, curiosity, and a kind heart, Jamie has great potential to thrive in a stable and supportive forever home. Parental rights have not been terminated for Jamie.
