Amya from Texas

Amya is a sweet and happy little girl who brings joy to everyone around her. She has a soft personality and often smiles and giggles at her caregivers, filling the room with laughter. Recently, Amya has shown progress in new skills such as learning to track people with her eyes and demonstrating her growing awareness of her surroundings. This new ability to engage with the world around her is exciting for both her and her caregivers. Additionally, Amya finds comfort in soothing music or when people sing to her. She specifically enjoys listening to lullabies and cheerful cartoon music. Amya especially loves going on car rides while listening to some of her favorite tunes, which consist of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Rock-A-Bye Baby, and ABC's.

The best family for Amya would be a family with some medical knowledge and that have a community of supports (family, friends, church). Amya needs a family that is loving, kind, patient and is able to devote the time and attention to her. The family will need to ensure her medical and emotional well-being is met. In addition, the family will need to be open to having 24-hour nursing staff in the home to help assist with Amya's needs.
