De'Andre is a youth who loves to be active! He is outgoing and talkative and loves to spend time experiencing new activities. De'Andre enjoys activities that interest him, but he is also open to trying new things to learn or be more social. Whether it is playing with friends, playing sports, learning about interesting subjects, or visiting with others, he loves getting out into the community. De'Andre can be shy upon meeting new people but warms up quickly. He is quick to engage with other children and enjoys talking with people in general and sharing his thoughts. He can remember details about subjects that he loves, such as trains, snakes, or popular music. De'Andre enjoys spends his free time playing basketball or football, going for walks, playing video games, or watching online videos so he can listen to hip-hop, his favorite genre. He thrives academically. He has a great appetite, loves going out to eat, and some of his favorite foods are hot wings, cheeseburgers with fries, and strawberry shakes or cheesecake. De'Andre dreams of being a train engineer in the future or a snake handler to help relocate snakes from urban areas. He is hopeful of finding a forever family to call his own.

De'Andre needs a family who can provide a secure and loving home so he can develop a sense of safety and stability. He needs a family who will provide healthy yet strong boundaries within a nurturing and loving home environment with age-appropriate discipline with consistent consequences. He needs a family who will be able to help him manage his feelings when he becomes frustrated or upset. De'Andre needs a family who is reliable with regards to supportive services, appointments, and adhering to all provider recommendations. The family must be extremely patient in their approach. De'Andre would benefit from one family member being at home for consistent supervision. The family should have a strong support system and be knowledgeable of resources available to ensure a smooth transition and successful adoption. It would be ideal if the family would be open to maintaining sibling contact with older and younger siblings who are not part of this adoption as these relationships are important to De'andre.
