Jordann from Texas

Jordann is a fun, outgoing teen with many interests. She enjoys crocheting, journaling, and crafts, but her true creative passion shines through in her painting. Her artwork is often whimsical but also includes portraits of celebrities. Jordann even expresses her creativity in nail art and make-up application. Jordann is an animal lover. She is gentle and affectionate with them, protective of their vulnerabilities. Just as they depend upon her, she will often seek out animals when she is in need of comfort. She is currently working to obtain her dog handler's certification! In quiet times, Jordann enjoys reading. She has a growing wish list of books she wants to get and is particularly drawn to story lines in which teens face difficult struggles. She also enjoys nature walks when she is in a thoughtful mood. Jordann is intelligent and often impresses adults with her insight. She likes school and does well academically. It should come as no surprise that her favorite class is Art. Though Jordann has many solitary activities that she enjoys, she is a social teen and loves the company of others. She is always up for an adventure, and her friends describe her as funny. Jordann's sweet disposition is evident in her interactions with both animals and friends. Jordann is considering pursuing a career in nursing, which is consistent with her caregiving nature.

Though Jordann speaks quietly, she considers herself an extrovert and is assertive when she shares her opinions. She has a strong sense of what she believes to be the right way and needs others to respect her perspective. In this way, Jordann will do best with a family that is willing to listen to her viewpoint and support her independence and decision-making, while still providing her with guidance. Jordann's forever family will also be eager to engage her in conversation and her creative interests. They will be her loudest cheerleaders and recognize her many wonderful qualities. They will be patient as she learns to trust and will provide the consistency and structure she needs to feel safe. Jordann hopes for a family with a mother and father, some pets, and possibly some younger children, although those who know her well believe she would be most successful as an only child. She isn't particular about where she lives, in the country or in the city, but wants to be close enough to her siblings to allow for frequent visits. The ideal family will be open to maintaining the healthy relationships Jordann has developed in the past while welcoming her into a new family and dreaming about her bright future.
