Destiny is a creative and thoughtful 15-year-old who is looking forward to finding a
family where she can feel safe, supported, and connected.
Destiny enjoys expressing her creativity through drawing and painting. She also has a
strong interest in horses and horseback riding, and spending time with animals is
something she finds enjoyable. She especially likes dogs and would be happy to have
opportunities to be around animals.
Social connections are important to Destiny. She enjoys spending time with friends and
having opportunities to participate in activities with peers. When meeting new people,
Destiny can be quiet and reserved at first. She benefits from having time to become
comfortable and build trust. As she gets to know people, she is able to become more
relaxed and allow others to see more of her personality.
Destiny enjoys a variety of foods and is generally open to different types of meals.
While fish is not a favorite, she does enjoy sushi!
School & Growing Independence
Destiny has the ability to do well academically. She is most successful when she stays
organized and completes assignments on time. Consistent encouragement, structure,
and supportive reminders can help her remain focused and experience success at
school.
As a teenager, Destiny is continuing to develop independence and learn important life
skills. She benefits from clear expectations, consistency, patience, and positive
guidance as she continues to develop an understanding of boundaries and
responsibility.
Important Relationships
Maintaining relationships with her older sisters is very important to Destiny. She would
like to continue having a connection with them as she moves forward. A prospective
family should be willing to recognize the importance of these relationships and support
appropriate, ongoing sibling connections.
The Family Destiny Needs
Destiny would benefit from a family who is patient, nurturing, consistent, and willing to
build a relationship at her pace. She needs adults who can provide structure while also
giving her opportunities to develop independence and confidence.
A family who will encourage her creativity, support her interest in horses and animals,
and help her maintain important sibling relationships would be especially meaningful.
Most importantly, Destiny needs a family who will recognize her strengths, potential,
and individuality, while remaining patient and supportive as she continues to grow.
With the right support and a strong sense of belonging, Destiny has the opportunity to
continue developing her talents, strengthening her relationships, and growing into the
confident young woman she is capable of becoming.
